Lately, I've been listening to Note To Self from WNYC. Its motto is "Finding Balance in the Digital Age." Now, I don't always agree with the content or the advice given, but it always makes me think and I continue to listen because I feel that I learn a little, adapt my understandings a little, and grow a little with each episode.
During my workout this morning I listened to "It's Time to Deal With Your Photo Clutter." Organization is a favorite topic of mine so I was particularly tuned-in on this one. A few other past episodes that I enjoyed:
- When a School Has a Sexting Scandal
- Is My Phone Eavesdropping on Me?
- Back To School Guide: How To Think About Kids and Tech
- Should You Post Pictures of Your Kids Online?
- When Your Conspiracy Theory Is True
So, while it is not directly focused on instructional tech topics, I feel that by listening, I am keep abreast with technology issues and improving my general understanding of our digital lifestyles. And there are tons of great podcast options out there! TEDtalks, Edutopia, 99% Invisible, StoryCorps, and Song Exploder are a few of my faves and I'm sure there are fantastic ones out there that I'm unaware of, so let me know! What are you listening to?
