Recently, Instructional Technology Coordinators used #innov8dmps for a challenge directed at all staff Des Moines Public Schools. Titled the "Snow and Tell" challenge the rules were simple, complete all 16 boxes and include evidence in a tweet. Don’t forget to include the number of the corresponding task that you are completing. The tasks cover various subjects including, but not limited to, following @thekiteproject, providing evidences of scales, student monitoring, examples of how you are using Marzano's framework, and examples from cultural proficiency learning and activities. Teachers, counselors, SILS, principals, and coordinators from elementary, middle, and high school levels challenged themselves to share their stories and wow what we received was amazing!
This was #innov8dmps 2nd annual challenge and with over 40 participants strong this year much was learned. What a great way to build a PLN within DMPS district. Since we have gained a lot of new followers, The Kite Project and #innov8dmps hashtag is excited to get back to our chats on Tuesday nights to re-energize lively discussions and learning. Be on the look out for our first chat of 2017 coming soon!
