My roll has changed this year from a classroom teacher to a special education teacher. Special education means I have students in multiple classrooms, multiple grade levels, and multiple teachers, therefore I have a number of challenges.< >Mobility: Using technology to engage students, when you are going from classroom to classroom is really challenging. My special education student need to be engaged in the content and technology has been a great resources to support this, but without a classroom and a designated space I have been struggling to use the tools, platforms, and interactive lessons I am familiar with using in a classroom setting. Designing Personalized Independent practice: Make sure independent practice for my students, when they are in their classroom, is personalized and appropriate for them. Monitoring Student Learning: Monitor their learning throughout the day without being with them in their classrooms all day. Working with multiple teachers: I have worked with classroom teachers, in which I share students with, to set up OneNote Classrooms. This has allowed me to stay connected with working being done in the classroom, as well as, support my students with graphic organizers on the computer. I also place articles students need to read in their OneNote so they are able to access the information using the Immersive reader. I hope as the year continues I am able to streamline the process of using OneNote and overall learn to use it more effectively as well has encourage my teachers to allow it in their classrooms
