I am a half-time interventionist for reading in grades 2-3 and half-time technology. The data I am using are Fast and Benchmarks. My goal is to increase their Fast scores and their overall reading Benchmark.
After selecting students in need from the mentioned data, I will meet with those students daily for at least 15 minutes each.
We will utilize scientific research strategies, such as, modeled reading, repeated readings, immediate explicit feedback, and goal setting. In addition, the classroom teachers will monitor student progress using Fast. Students will track their progress and set goals.
I will collaborate with teachers to follow student progress monitoring scores and make a plan to assist students with goal setting. Progress monitoring is a weekly requirement.
I plan to use Seesaw plus as a tool for students to record and respond, as well as a way to provide both verbal and written feedback to students.
